Bave de crapaud

There are many views on how to write with Feinheit, struggling to find the mot juste, add a little chutzpah, a little je ne sais quoi to your own personal form of expression.

Some apply great rigueur to their craft – 'a dies sine linea – while others take a slightly more Neroesque, so as not to say Delillo, stance – Qualis artifex pereo – although, a la fine, is it any worse than the artifice of the doctus cum libre crowd?

Difficult to know how to proceed, what with the Zeitgeist continually shifting, n’est-ce-pas?

Regardless of the aura popularis, however, I do believe it essential to stick to a fundamental piece of advice from Strunk and White:

Avoid foreign languages… It is a bad habit. Write in English.

Ite, missa est.
