Iris in the air

I ask them what they most like doing together. He winks suggestively.
John: “Eating.”
Audi: “And drinking.”

Maybe it’s all that glad relief and unexpected joy in late autumn; septuagenarian butterflies.

- ... and making a peace of sorts with the larger-than-life Iris in this bit here from the end of the interview:

Audi: “Yes, a little. See, this is the sort of thing one notices.”

- I thought this was a lovely, charming interview. I realized I was curious about Iris, as I’d vaguely heard of her work before reading the interview. I rented the movie, now I’m off to find her books. Thank you for this entry. Perhaps in reading her work, I will no longer disagree with those that call me “well-read.”
